Happy St. Patrick's Day

Thanks to Pinterest and the Internet, this is my 1st year going all out for St. Patrick's Day. This subway art came from http://eighteen25.blogspot.com/ and I got the idea for the Shamrock bouquet fro pinterest. I cut the shamrock shapes out with my silhouette and used a stamp from my pink stamper.

Then from my sisters suitcase, I found these free printables to make my family a festive Top O' the Mornin' Breakfast. My little leprechauns thought it was a great way to celebrate the morning.

Dance Invitation

Last week, I threw my daughter a Wii Dance Party. These are the invitations sent out. I love using silhouette's, as it is a simple cut, making it easier to put together multiple cards. The skirt was used with printed velum over purple cardstock.
I did't have enough paper to make all the cards the same color and didn't want to drive to buy more, so I made the in two different shades.

Girlie Girl Cards

A while back I told you about the boutique I did and I shared the fruit and animal theme cards. Now I am finally getting around to sharing the girlie ones.

I love this dress card. In fact, I wouldn't mind having an actual dress like this! I cut the dress out in a rose cardstock and the skirt portion out of a swirl print vellum. The ribbon was done in a darker rose cardstock.
All of the stamps used in this set came from My Pink Stampers Pinkalicious line.

I really like the simplicity of a black silhouette against a white background and the pop of hot pink ribbon. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the white.



This card is just fun! You can use it as an invitation for a girls night our, bachelorette party or even a make up/spa party.

Circus Theme Party

I recently helped throw a circus themed party. Once again, I am so very thankful for my Silhouette, as there is no was I could have done such nice decorations. The guests were greeted by this sign at the front door.
We attempted to make the dining room ceiling look like the top of a circus tent using crape paper, but I think it would have turned out much better if we would have used large sheets of material. Still turned out festive though. The guy the party was for is a huge circus/clown fan and had several old posters that we were able to use as part of the decor too. Also, to make more room we pushed the table up against one wall of the dining room.

Instead of attempting to make several cupcake toppers, we found it to be just as cost effective and easier to order these from Oriental Trading Co. The bonus feature is that they are made of vinyl, so they could be washed and reused someday.
The other cupcakes were baked in snow cone cups, topped with frosting and then sprinkled with homemade colored sugar to look like actual snow cones. These even fooled a few of the kids!
All of the food served was food that you would actually find at a circus. To help liven up the table, I made these super cute place cards.


The lemonade not only had this cute label, but also some tickets wrapped around it. We did the same thing with the peanut bowl to help tie it together.



The salt was made using Crystal Stickles. Perfect touch!
With so many treats, there was no way anyone would want to eat a large amount of cotton candy, so putting a small amount into cupcake liners works perfectly.
This party was really fun to put together and hopefully you get some ideas. This was an adult party, so if you have kids, it would be really fun to add face painting and games, but the decor would be still be amazing for any age group.

Hugs & Kisses

This year I have decided I want to decorate for each holiday, big or small, but I don't want to buy manufactured items or spend a lot of money. My first holiday is Valentines Day. I bought these letters at Joanne's on sale, scrapbook paper and used some leftover modge podge to create.....
these X and O decorations. I am picking up the perfect dresser this weekend that I plan on repainting and using in my living room. This is where I will be displaying all my holiday craft decor. Pictures of the furniture, wall display and holiday displays coming in the near future!

Baby Cakes

I first saw these adorable Baby Cakes when a friend of mine made them and then found them on pinterest with instructions. Basically, you just take a receiving blanket, onesie or burp cloth and fold it into a strip and then roll. Put it into a coffee filter and hold in place with a rubber band. Cover rubber band with a ribbon.

These are for the newly expecting mom's in my MOPS group, so I made them all gender neutral, as no one would know the sex of their baby so early on. I originally made them just like this picture,
but then decided that they needed something more. So I went ahead and made cupcake toppers for them. I put mine in a cupcake/muffin pan, but if I was throwing a baby shower, I would arrange them on a treat stand and then display them on the desert table.

Animal Theme

This little kitty card is paws-atively precious. With the floral background it reminds me of a Victorian style card.

This little pig is sitting on brown "mud" paper with a blue sky. He has wiggly eyes and a stamp inside that says Hogs & Kisses.

Turtley Awesome. Cute turtle on a southwest style paper.
What a cute little ladybug. She is two layers and resting on some embossed leaves and flowers with wiggle eyes.

This squirrel would be great as a Fall card or for a man.
I love how elegant this little deer appears. He and his little butterfly are Besties Always.
